I am currently serving time in prison for a murder that I did not commit.
I was wrongfully convicted in 2008, after a month long trial by a jury who only deliberated for 3 hours. Obviously, they did not take their job seriously and were swayed by the emotional prosecutor. The evidence proved my innocence and if anyone is interested, he or she can read this entire blog to read what happened during trial and how it has affected my family.
The jurors ignored defense evidence and let their bias for the prosecution rule their decision. We have had jurors since the verdict tell us what happened behind the closed jury doors and admit that they were wrong in their actions; but it is too late to change that day. We are working on an appeal, and have high hopes for it.
I thank my family and friends for their love and support. Because of them, I can get through this. They have seen my true self re-emerge from my dark days of teen confusion and have believed in me again. They are my strength. I tested those who love me when I was young, and now I am being tested. I will endure.
I have asked my family to keep the blog going for those that want to know about me and for their catharsis. It is a healthy outlet for them.
Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes. Keep them coming.
