Governor Brown

Recently in the news, there was a request for parole/pardon for a murderer, former Mexican Mafia member, who had a history of violence, and even killed someone in the jails in front of guards. Since his incarceration,  he has turned on the mafia, and become an informant for all law enforcement about the Mexican Mafia.  The FBI, and some prosecutors are behind him and think he should be pardoned. His last murder was in 1998.  He did not even get life without parole, like Dean did.  It amazes me still that Dean was given life without parole even though he has never been violent before, and does not have three strikes.  How can that even be legal?  Yet this Mexican Mafia murderer comes up for parole on a case that is not even as old as Deans?   Dean was and is not a threat to society, yet the state will be housing him forever.
Governor Brown did not grant the Mafia informant parole, saying that because he was now a target from the Mexican Mafia, that he puts anyone near him in danger.  Good for Brown.  I agree.
I hope that one day, he will be granting Dean parole or a pardon.  Dean will be 40 years old on March 11th.  I had so hoped that he would be out by his 40th birthday.  He has been punished enough for being involved in a gang.
I sure hope that the conscience of every jury member is preventing them from feeling true peace and happiness. It has to be gnawing at their soul whether they realize it or not.  Passive people are the biggest cowards and losers in life.  Mean people only bring misery on themselves, and kind people bring love on to themselves.  Dean had no kind jurors.  Too bad for them.
