Finally a Chance for freedom.

Here we are at the end of 2018.  Dean is almost done with his degree in psychology and counseling, is a prison newspaper columnist, involved in the Actors Gang, and has an exemplary record in prison, and now he has been rewarded by Governor Brown who has reduced and changed Dean's sentence. He is no longer a lifer without parole.  This gives us all hope and was some great news after the sad news of the death of his Grandfather. He lost both his Grandfathers this year. Dean was close to both of them.    Dean hopes to one day be helping teens avoid gangs and drugs and promoting his books.
  Dean never murdered Miguel, but was involved with the people who did, and feels great remorse for it.  We his family are grateful to have Dean being the true person he was meant to be, and no longer even remotely part of the gang mind set.   Thank you Governor Brown.  Happy New Year.
